Indonesian volleyball team loses to Thailand in SEA V League 2025 opener

The Indonesian national volleyball team began their SEA V League 2025 campaign with a loss to Thailand at Candon City Arena, Philippines. The national squad had to acknowledge Thailand’s superiority with a score of 1-3 (25-22, 21-25, 22-25, 20-25).

Indonesia’s attacking line relied on the trio of Farhan Halim, Rivan Nurmulki, and Fahri Septian — while the middle blocker positions were filled by Tedy Oka Syahputra and Hendra Kurniawan.

The match was tight in the early first set — Thailand led 2-0 through Amornthep’s attacks. Indonesia managed to level the score at 5-5 after Farhan Halim capitalized on a floating ball, but Thailand regained the lead at 10-8 which forced Indonesia’s coach to substitute setter Dio Zulfikri with Jasen Kilanta.
