Herry IP disappointed with Japan Open 2025 draw for Malaysian men’s doubles

Herry Iman Pierngadi — Malaysia’s men’s doubles coach — expressed his disappointment regarding the Japan Open 2025 draw, scheduled for next week at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Japan.

According to the BWF World Tour Super 750 draw released yesterday, two Malaysian pairs — Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun and Junaidi Arif/Roy King Yap — must face each other in the first round.

This internal matchup isn’t the first occurrence — both pairs also met in the round of 16 at Indonesia Open 2025. In that match, Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun emerged victorious with scores of 14-21, 21-11, 21-15.
