PT LIB considers allowing away supporters in Liga 1 next season

Ferry Paulus, Director of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB), shared the latest developments regarding away supporters rules for Liga 1 2025/2026 following the annual Shareholders General Meeting.

Currently, the away supporters ban remains in effect since the Kanjuruhan Tragedy — however, implementation has been suboptimal as some supporters still attend away matches, resulting in sanctions for clubs.

PT LIB is seeking the best solution to accommodate supporters’ desires to support their favorite teams while maintaining security and comfort aspects.

“For opening away supporters rules, there are several aspects to consider including risks based on inter-supporter rivalry,” said Ferry Paulus.

In its future implementation, matches with high rivalry levels such as Persib Bandung versus Persija Jakarta — supporters from both teams will not be allowed to attend away games for security reasons.
