Jordi Amat excited about Persija vs Persib rivalry in Liga 1

Indonesian national team defender Jordi Amat officially joined Persija Jakarta for Liga 1 2025/2026 season — the announcement was made by the club in early July.

The 33-year-old player brings valuable experience from European competitions — his career includes periods at various top clubs including Swansea City.

“I fully understand Indonesian football, including the great rivalry between Persija and Persib,” stated Amat when asked about the classic derby between the teams.

While Persija prepares for the new season with their new recruit, Persib Bandung remains focused on competing in the 2025 President’s Cup — showing the pre-season activities of both major clubs.
