Persija Jakarta signs Jordi Amat for 2025/26 season

According to the club’s official website, Persija Jakarta has completed the transfer of Jordi Amat as their third recruitment for the 2025/26 season — following the earlier arrivals of Eksel Runtukahu and Van Basty Sousa.

The 33-year-old defender is projected to partner with team captain Rizky Ridho in coach Mauricio Souza’s three or four-defender formation.

“The adaptation is going very well. I know several teammates from the national team, the squad is filled with many young players,” Amat stated.

“I think more players will come, so I’m happy to be here,” he added.

Despite his English Premier League experience, Amat’s performance is no longer as impressive as before — marked by his absence from the Indonesian national team and Johor Darul Ta’zim.
