PT LIB officially changes name to I League for new season

CEO Ferry Paulus announced the name change of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) to I League — a decision made during the General Shareholders Meeting at Langham Hotel, Central Jakarta.

This change not only covers the company name but will also affect Liga 1 and Liga 2 — a strategic move to enhance competition visibility at the international level.

“This season we have changed the name from Liga Indonesia Baru to I League. So from this season we will call ourselves I League, not LIB,” stated Ferry Paulus.

This name transformation is expected to bring positive impact — making Indonesian football leagues more recognized on the global stage.
