Kompany ready to face PSG in Club World Cup quarterfinals

Vincent Kompany, Bayern Munich’s manager, shared his perspective ahead of the Club World Cup quarterfinal match against Paris Saint-Germain — a challenge he enthusiastically welcomes.

“It’s hard not to acknowledge their strength as Champions League winners. But these are the challenges we like. As a professional athlete, I wouldn’t choose any other team than facing the champions,” said Kompany.

Bayern Munich — fresh off their 4-2 victory over Flamengo in the round of 16 — approaches this match with high confidence.

On the other side, PSG coach Luis Enrique predicts an exciting encounter.

“Tomorrow will be an open game with attacks from both teams. It will be an attractive spectacle for the fans,” stated Enrique.

PSG — who qualified after defeating Inter Miami 4-0 — will return to Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The winner of this match will face either Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund.
