PSG Plans New Stadium Inspired by Modern Los Angeles Venues

According to Reuters, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) CEO Victoriano Melero revealed the club’s plans to build a new stadium — a project inspired by the success of modern venues in Los Angeles.

PSG is currently examining potential locations in two areas — Massy in southern Paris and Poissy in the western part of the French capital. The club will conduct a year-long analysis to determine the final location that will replace the 48,000-capacity Parc des Princes.

“The next challenge is a new stadium. We’re inspired by sports facilities in the United States, like the incredible SoFi Stadium that’s more than just a sports venue,” said Melero.

SoFi Stadium, which opened five years ago, serves as the main inspiration model — this 70,000-capacity venue not only hosts NFL teams but also various entertainment shows.

PSG, now valued at $4.4 billion, has a strong fanbase in the United States with approximately 5 million fans. The club’s ownership structure is divided between Qatar Sports Investments (87.5%) and US-based Arctos Partners (12.5%).
