2,200 Young Players Dazzle at 2025 President’s Cup Opening

The 2025 President’s Cup opening at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) Jakarta was celebrated with a performance by 2,200 football school participants — marking the start of this prestigious tournament.

The ceremony held before the Group A match between Oxford United and Liga Indonesia All Star began with a report from Muararar Sirat as Steering Committee — followed by the singing of Indonesia Raya.

President Prabowo Subianto could not attend the opening ceremony due to attending the BRICS Summit in Brazil — however, this did not diminish the grandeur of the event.

Participants from various football schools demonstrated their skills with synchronized juggling around the running track, accompanied by Lyodra Ginting’s performance entertaining the audience. The opening match witnessed by Indonesia U-23 national team players was scheduled for kick-off at 19:30 WIB.
