17 Indonesian Representatives Ready to Compete at Macau Open 2025

The BWF Super 300 Macau Open 2025 will be held at the Macao East Asian Games Dome from July 29 to August 3. Indonesia is sending 17 representatives after Anthony Sinisuka Ginting withdrew from the competition.

Ginting — who recently returned to competition at the Japan Open and China Open 2025 after injury recovery — has yet to show his optimal performance. In men’s singles, Indonesia will rely on three national training camp players:

  • Alwi Farhan
  • Moh Zaki Ubaidillah
  • Yohanes Saut Marcellyno

Alwi Farhan, currently ranked 25th in the world, will start his campaign against Cheam June Wei from Malaysia. If successful, he could potentially face his compatriot Moh Zaki Ubaidillah, who must first overcome Mads Christophersen from Denmark.

Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo will also return to action after his appearance at Indonesia Open 2025. Meanwhile in men’s doubles, young pair Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin will make their BWF World Tour debut under coach Chafidz Yusuf’s guidance.
