Injury Occurred During Sudirman Cup Group Stage

According to Dr. Hasna HM from PBSI, Daniel Marthin suffered a serious injury to his left knee while competing at the 2025 Sudirman Cup in Xiamen, China.

The Injury Incident

The injury occurred during the match where Daniel Marthin paired with Muhammad Shohibul Fikri against Denmark’s Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen in the group stage. The injury happened when Marthin landed improperly after executing a smash shot.

Withdrawal From Matches and Treatment

Despite managing to complete the match with a victory, Daniel Marthin’s knee condition worsened, causing significant swelling and severe pain. Due to this, the coaching team decided to withdraw him from the quarter-final and semi-final matches.

Return for Treatment in Jakarta
