In response to the match’s controversial moments, PSM Makassar coach Bernardo Tavares and team captain Yuran Fernandes voiced their dissatisfaction with referee Nendi Rohaendi. Both felt that the referee’s performance had a significant impact on the outcome of the match, particularly in a key moment when a goal by Fernandes was disallowed.

Disallowed Goal Sparks Fury Among PSM Players

The controversy centered around a goal scored by Yuran Fernandes from a corner kick, which was initially allowed by the referee. However, after a VAR review, the goal was disallowed despite PSM Makassar players having already celebrated their apparent success. This decision left the team and their supporters frustrated, with Fernandes expressing his disappointment by stating:
